The Capital Striders Circuit is a way to stay motivated throughout the entire racing season. Run races, get points, win prizes - it's just about that simple.

Points can also be earned for your volunteer efforts. Help out (or run) one of the eligible races listed below and earn points. Highest points total, wins!

Circuit Rules

• Must be a current member of the Capital Striders Running Club to participate. No form is required to enter - if you're a current Striders member, you're already in. Race results will be cross-referenced with the Capital Striders membership data base.
  
• Points will be awarded in age groups consisting of 5-year intervals.
  
• Runners will earn points based upon their place in their 5 year age group for a particular race. Points will be given based upon the number of participants in each age group. If there are 10 people in your age group, the winner will receive 10 points. Second place will receive 9 points, third 8 points, etc.
  
• Points are capped at a maximum of 100 per race.
  
• Points are doubled for Capital Striders events (Loop the Lake and Capital Pursuit).
  
• A runner must participate in at least 4 Capital Striders Circuit races to be eligible to receive end of year awards.
  
• Ties will be decided by points earned from Capital Striders events.
  Further ties will be decided by random drawing.
  
• Your age on the date of your first Capital Striders Circuit race will determine your age group placement for the entire circuit year.
  
• 25 bonus points will be given to anyone finishing all 10 Capital Striders Circuit races.
  
• 25 points will be given to anyone volunteering for a Capital Striders Circuit race. Volunteers must notify circuit@CapitalStriders.org within 30 days of event completion.
  
• If a runner feels that he/she has been scored incorrectly in a Capital Striders Circuit event then he/she must appeal before the end of the next month in which the results appeared on the web site. Appeals must be sent to circuit@CapitalStriders.org.
