Did you ever run a race where everything went like clockwork? Getting your packet was a breeze and the race started on time. The course was well marked with people pointing the way at turns. The finish line was well organized and the post race refreshments were terrific. Regardless of your time you probably wanted to run that race again because "they really knew how to take care of the runners." That doesn't happen by accident; it takes tons of planning and even more volunteers.

Volunteers are the backbone of any race or Club event. Often volunteering doesn't take much time, but the rewards are enormous.
