Sponsors
Sponsors play a critical role in the Capital Striders' success and longevity. Their support helps keep events affordable, strengthens community programs, and allows the club to give back through park improvements, trail support, and charitable efforts. Quite simply, the work we do would not be possible without partners willing to invest in the running community.
Just as important, sponsors connect local businesses to runners in a meaningful, face-to-face way. These relationships are built on trust and shared values, not just logos on a banner. When sponsors support the Capital Striders, they support healthier lifestyles, stronger communities, and a tradition of showing up for one another.
If you are interested in sponsoring the Capital Striders, please email directors@capitalstriders.org.

Runnerstuff.com is a nonprofit website that serves as a central hub for running and triathlon events across Iowa. It provides timely listings of upcoming races along with results, making it a reliable resource for athletes, race directors, and fans who want to stay connected to the local endurance community.
The site is managed by long-time Capital Striders friend Steve Bobenhouse, whose steady commitment has helped support and grow Iowa’s running scene for years.
Fitness Sports in Clive was established by Steve and Nancy Bobenhouse in 1984. With a focus on community, Fitness Sports has grown into one of the largest running and walking stores in the Midwest and has become a tradition for families across Iowa.
In 2016, Jordan & Lindsey Andrews opened Heartland Soles in Johnston and, shortly after, a second location in Coralville. Also, with a passion for community and customer service, the Bobenhouses and the Andrews became friends. In 2021, the Andrews purchased the Fitness Sports – Clive location and rebranded Heartland Soles.

Athletico treats a range of conditions, including back and neck pain, muscle strains and sprains, and sports- and work-related injuries. Their clinic is located directly across the street from Powerlife Yoga and located on the opposite corner from the old Crescent Chevrolet Building.
They offer a wide range of physical therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation services to help you get back to doing the things you love to do. Their clinicians are passionate about helping you reach your goals, which is why we create personalized treatment plans that focus on eliminating pain and reducing the risk of future injuries.
Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy transforms lives and restores hope through movement. Their vision is straightforward and grounded: to build a community of healthy, happy, and hope-filled people. Movement is not just physical activity for us. It is a means to regain confidence, purpose, and connection, one step at a time.
They believe people are not truly healthy unless they care for their body, mind, and spirit. Real wellness comes from balance in work, play, and rest, not from extremes. They also believe a healthy business should reflect the same principles it teaches by consistently demonstrating trust, valuing people, and leading with generosity.
